Remove the rocks from your backpack
When I thought back on certain things I've said and done in my career, sometimes I would cringe.
I can see a lot of the Toxic Professionalism that fueled my mistakes.
I gave into the fear of scarcity that fueled my competitiveness.
I gave into the fear of not being good enough that fueled my perfectionism.
I gave into the fear that I had to keep everyone happy that fueled my masking.
But I forgive myself.
I am not the person I was 10 years ago. 5 years ago. 1 year ago. Yesterday.
I am wiser. I am more self-aware. I still make mistakes. And I recognize that who I was in those moments help make me into who I am now...and proud to be.
Let's forgive ourselves for the mistakes we've made, the actions we took out of fear, and be grateful to learn from those moments.
Guilt is like a backpack of rocks we carry around. ๐๐ชจ๐ฎโ๐จ
Give yourself the gift of forgiveness.
Feel the weight of those rocks lifted with each mistake you forgive yourself for.
And move forward without that heavy burden. ๐
